Additionally, this position will assist in the coordination of project assignments and provide technical review/assistance on projects prepared by department co-workers. The Sr. Consultant Finance will provide guidance to department co-workers and lead them in accomplishing tasks in a timely and efficient manner and will perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Job Description Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills are essential for preparing datasets, developing models, and analyzing revenue trends to optimize reimbursement methodologies and rates. This role is responsible for monitoring key metrics through dashboards and reports, identifying payer-level variances against benchmarks, and analyzing trends to develop assumptions for growth, rates, and risk. Additionally, it involves building and maintaining pro formas by contract, evaluating contract opportunities, and determining strategies to achieve financial targets through rate adjustments. Completes special projects as directed by the Director or Manager.Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance
• Experience: Position requires a minimum of five years financial analysis experience.
• Required Skills:
  • Strong Excel skills is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills: ability to assess and define business problem, pull & analyze data to develop insights, and recommend solutions based on those insights.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Works independent and is self-driven, demonstrating an ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish and carry out goals/objectives.
  • Ability to effectively guide co-workers and lead team in completing tasks.Preferred Licensure: CPA preferred.Preferred Experience:
    • Healthcare financial reporting experience.
