Technical Project Manager for SiC Power Modules- NTI

Here's the Gist:

The Wolfspeed Power Modules team is looking for a self-driven and motivated, hands-on Technical Project Manager to drive execution excellence of NTI for our Power Modules product portfolio. The individual will work as part of a cross functional team consisting of R&D, Product Development, Product Engineering, Test, Qualification, Validation & Reliability, Operations and Marketing to develop next generation of power die for the Automotive, Industrial and Energy markets. A successful candidate will be a resourceful problem solver with excellent organizational and leadership skills who will be able to work around technical obstacles, implement practical solutions. He/she will successfully partner with Wolfspeed's worldwide die and Power Modules design teams as well as project management and manufacturing organizations.

The Day-to-Day:

• Take responsibility for the execution of New Technology Introduction (NTI) for Power Modules product line
• Take ownership of development schedules, budgets, priorities, risk assessments and product quality & reliability targets
• Utilize project management tools to define project scope, cost and schedule and ensure commitments are met. Revise plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements leveraging the appropriate processes.
• Define overall project timeline including resource constraints and critical path
• Reporting out of project status to stakeholders including NTI Gate Review Meetings
• Where processes do not exist, or can be improved, proactively drive change to ensure success of the project, the team and the business
• Ensure that all disciplines work together to meet and/or beat the project goals. Collaborate across the Wolfspeed organization to coordinate all new technology certification activities
• Collaborate with and influence external technology partners to meet project deliverables on time and on budget
• Identify needed resources and assign individual responsibilities. Prioritize projects and project efforts per business requirements.
• Identify and exercise company-wide subject matter experts when required This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
  • BS in Engineering with experience in a technology/product development environment
  • Microsoft Project and Office
  • Knowledge of wide bandgap semiconductor devices and fab processes used to manufacture them
  • Familiar with discrete packaging and power module technology, design and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Automotive Quality & Reliability Standards and Requirements
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple development projects simultaneously in the semiconductor and/or packaging industry
  • Resourceful, hands-on, problem solving individual with initiative and drive to work around technical obstacles
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast pace, highly dynamic environment, at both a detailed execution level and a strategic level
  • Customers facing skills (both internal and external) such as tact, good listening, critical thinking and empathy
  • Must possess tenacity and a strong "whatever it takes" attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (and listening) skills
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with the ability to influence and gain commitments without direct supervisor authority
  • Project Management certification is highly desirable, though not required
  • Previous roles as a technical project manager is highly desirable, though not required This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
