Job Description:
Job Summary: Manage assurance engagements through all phases of
the audit process with limited supervision in various industries
including nonprofit, manufacturing, oil and gas, professional
services, health care, governmental, wholesale/distribution, and
financial institution companies, taking a leadership role with
audit staff and seniors.Lead by example; actively live out and
promote the firm's core values HT3 and service standards.Review,
research and analyze financial statement issues utilizing various
electronic sources and softwareGain a comprehensive understanding
of client operations in order to assess internal controls and
provide value-added, business processes and solutions to company
managementGain client confidence through quality work and effective
communication, maintaining a positive and professional
relationshipEffectively communicate with clients regarding
technical issuesManage client contacts and organize communications
with complex clientsManage complex audit tasks through completion
of the engagementSupervise, train and mentor assurance staff and
seniors to ensure timely completion of projects and proper
developmentDevelop, distribute and communicate assurance staff and
senior reviewsParticipate in department and Firm
administration/managementAssist in niche development activities as
neededPromote a proprietary interest in the Firm and its clientsBe
an effective communicator and team playerDefine personal career
goals and evaluate through the performance goals process and assist
in development of senior and staff expectationsEffectively manage
Firm resources as they relate to the economics of job performance,
including management of budgets and billing processMaintain and
expand knowledge of auditing and accounting standards through
review of periodicals and participation in Firm continuing
education meetingsAttend and participate in advanced assurance
trainingParticipate in professional, business and community
organizationsServe on various Firm committees, as assignedExpected
level of chargeable time is 1,500, within the context of 2,250 hour
yearAdhere to the Firm's quality control standardsParticipate in
staff recruiting activities, as neededMinimal
travelQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in accounting from an
accredited collegeCPA in the state of Oklahoma or Arkansas, in the
process of obtainingMinimum of five (5) years of public accounting
experienceUnderstanding of generally accepted auditing standards,
generally accepted accounting principles (FASB, GAAP, OCBOA) and
industry specific rulesStrong research, organizational, computer
(paperless auditing with Caseware application, Internet-based
research and Microsoft Office application) and analytical
skillsAbility to manage concurrent engagementsA desire to provide
exceptional client service with the highest level of
integrityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility
to meet deadlinesPHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of
this job the employee will regularly be required to sit, stand,
reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift and/or move up to
25 lbs.
