Summary
The role of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Rehab Supervisor reports
to the Ambulatory Care Manager. This position is responsible
coordinating the day-to-day workflow for the department. This
position is responsible for overseeing the clinical functions of
the department to ensure proper delivery of care in accordance with
the system and adherence to AACVPR standards.Essential Position
Summary
Ensure that program and services meet AACVPR standards and partner
with leadership to initiate renewal process when appropriate
Utilize evidence-based practices to improve and facilitate patient
care and satisfaction
Provide patient and/or patient family with education regarding
services offered in cardiac rehab
Assist in achieving quality patient care, national patient safety
goals, and regulatory requirements
Partner with leadership to develop and implement a treatment plan
that specifically meets the patient needs according to physician
orders
Review clinic orders to ensure all required information is
collected and contact clinic for additional information as
needed
Establish effective working relationships with all constituencies
including patients, families, physicians, coworkers, volunteers,
and community partners
Ensure proper and adequate inventory and supplies are maintained
for the department through effective ordering and inventory
management
Assist in creating and implementing process improvement
objectives
Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for the
departmentQualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas RN license, required. CPR
and ACLS required within 3 months of hire. Dysrhythmia required
annually.
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in an acute cardiac setting,
required. Minimum 1-year experience in a Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab
setting, preferred.
