Job Description Position Information The Eastern Oklahoma VA
Health Care System (EOVAHCS) is actively recruiting a staff
Physician in Diagnostic Radiology to help care for our veterans,
America's Heroes. EOVAHCS consists of a medium complexity hospital,
a two-year-old 180,000 sq ft ambulatory care center, and several
community-based outpatient clinics. A second hospital is planned to
open in 2025. EOVAHCS serves veterans residing in multiple counties
throughout the Eastern Oklahoma region with 55,000 Veterans in the
EOVAHCS service area. This exciting job opportunity awaits you to

addition, there are opportunities for participation in the
education and teaching of residents, medical students, and other
providers. The Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Service is comprised of
state-of-the-art imaging platforms across all imaging modalities.
Staff physicians report to the Chief of Service who, in turn, is
accountable to the Chief of Staff. The candidate should have a
diversified skill set with mandatory inclusion of MRI and/or breast
imaging. The candidate must be committed to establishing
collaborative relationships with staff providers to ensure the
provision of optimal and efficient care to our veteran population.
The Staff Physicians may have teaching opportunities due to our
association with Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic
Medicine (OSUCOM) and the Oklahoma University of Oklahoma College
of Medicine (OUCOM) program. Work Schedule: Full-time,
Monday–Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Assignments will rotate between the
hospital and outpatient center. Call is primarily confined to
telephone consultations. - Must be a U.S. citizen. - Current, full,
and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in at
least one state in the U.S. - Board-eligible or board-certified in
Diagnostic Radiology. Fellowship training is desirable but not
required. - A sign-on bonus will be offered, and there is potential
for an annual performance bonus of up to $15,000. Qualified
candidates will also be eligible for educational debt
reimbursement. Starting pay at $300,000 -$400,000 per year.
Preferred Experience: Board certification by the American Medical
Association (AMA) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Community Information Tulsa is the second-largest city in the state
of Oklahoma and the 47th-most populous city in the United States
with a population of 413,066. It is the principal municipality of
the Tulsa metropolitan area, a region with 1,023,988 residents. The
city serves as the county seat of Tulsa County, the most densely
populated county in Oklahoma, with urban development extending into
Osage, Rogers, and Wagoner counties. Tulsa was settled between 1828
and 1836 by the Lochapoka Band of the Creek Native American tribe,
and most of Tulsa is still part of the territory of the Muskogee
(Creek) Nation. It is situated on the Arkansas River between the
Osage Hills and the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeast

Retirement System (FERS) A three-tiered retirement plan composed of
1) Social Security benefits; 2) FERS-FRAE basic benefits (pension);
and 3) Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), which is a 401K-type plan, with
up to five percent government matching contributions. Contract
buyout program: VHA Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be
eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program
(CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum
agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts,
Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain
rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service
(minimum 4 years).
