Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License eligible in the state Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience. Scrub and OR Circulator experience. Interventional Vascular experience of at least 1 year and competence in conscious sedation. Description: Assist with the Vascular Surgeon in the Operating Room and Hybrid Imaging suite. Work with a team of nurses and surgical techs for Endo and Open cases. Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties and responsibilities in alignment with mission, values, and service standards. Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Function within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines of nursing practice. Demonstrate skill in human relations and communications. Maintain clinical expertise in the area of responsibility. Stand and walk most of the time while on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Meet physical demands including pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. Occasionally pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Engage in high-quality care and a personal experience for patients. Focus on safety and innovation in care delivery. Participate in efforts to drive patient satisfaction.
