Job Description The Cardiopulmonary Cardiac Sonographer creates
a safe, patient-centered environment during cardiopulmonary
procedures, ensuring accurate data collection for diagnosis and
treatment. Qualifications include ARDMS or CCI Echocardiography
registration, BLS, and ACLS certifications (within 6 months).
Responsibilities encompass performing echocardiograms, stress
tests, EKGs, and Holter monitoring, with thorough knowledge of
cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics. They
ensure proper documentation, assist with quality improvement,
provide patient education, follow infection control practices, and
foster respectful relationships with patients, families, and staff.
Physical demands include exposure to hazards, prolonged standing,
lifting, and ensuring safety through good visual and auditory
acuity. Overall, they uphold organizational values and standards of
safety, courtesy, effectiveness, and stewardship.
