Work.” Unit Description: The Medical/Surgical Intensive Care unit
comprises 24 beds and caters to a diverse range of critical care
patients. Our service lines encompass Cardiovascular Surgery,
Neurosurgery, Medical, and Trauma Surgery. Nurses in this unit
deliver highly specialized care, managing various treatment
modalities such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy,
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Left Ventricular Assist Device
(Impella), Therapeutic Hypothermia, Intraventricular Device and
Intracranial Pressure monitoring, and Extracorporeal Membrane
Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy. This ICU is supported by a dedicated
unit educator, clinical supervisors, and clinical coordinators who
facilitate learning opportunities and provide real-time education
and competency validation. The diverse acuity levels create an
environment conducive to the growth of both knowledge and skills.
Requirements: Experience: A minimum of one year of ICU experience
is preferred. Education: A Nursing Degree from an accredited
institution is required. License: A current RN license in the state
is mandatory. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from
the American Heart Association is required, along with NIH
certification within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter. ASLS
training must be completed within 6 months of hire and at least
