Job Description Job Description Flexible RN Position - Per Diem/PRN - Joplin and Nearby Areas This role is for a versatile, per diem Registered Nurse (RN) who will work across various departments such as Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health at a hospital in Joplin and its surrounding areas. Candidates must possess recent bedside nursing experience, relevant certifications, and the capacity to work different shifts without guaranteed hours. Nurses are expected to uphold their licensure, adhere to the organization's mission, and deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with other departments. Discover your purpose with us! Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care. Holds professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. Assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in collaboration with various departments. Safeguards patient rights and maintains confidentiality of patient information. Executes responsibilities in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards. Position Details: Location: Joplin and Surrounding Areas Department: GIG Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flexible/Float Shift: Various Shifts Available JoinOurTeam Incentives: $40/hour plus Variable Shift Incentives W-2 Employee Status Minimum of 12 hours worked every 90 days Shifts available in 4, 8, or 12-hour increments Flexible work opportunities throughout the community based on your availability Position Overview: Are you looking for a flexible and incentivized Registered Nurse role? You can choose to work day or night shifts based on your preference! There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or shift requirements. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program entails committing to a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, and being adaptable to last-minute shift cancellations. Please note that the Gig Nursing Program does not guarantee shift hours and will be prioritized for cancellations. Departments Seeking GIG RNs: Behavioral Health (BH) Emergency Department (ED) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical-Surgical (MS) Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B) Qualifications: Required Education: Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed, meeting all state board of nursing requirements. Experience: At least one year of recent bedside RN experience for Medical-Surgical roles. For other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.), a minimum of two years of recent specialty-specific bedside RN experience is required. Preferred Experience: Experience with Epic software Certifications: For Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health - BLS certification For Critical Care - BLS and ACLS certifications For Emergency Department - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Additional certifications may be required post-hire Physical Requirements: Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly Requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform job duties Why Join Us?
