Job Description Job Description Licensed Practical Nurse - Wound Care - Full-Time Overview: This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a focus on wound care, requiring valid LPN licensure along with certifications such as Basic Life Support and LPN-IV. The position entails considerable physical activity, including essential patient care tasks like lifting and repositioning patients. Position Information: Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; equivalent educational experience may be considered. It is the candidate's responsibility to secure and maintain a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed, adhering to all State Board of Nursing regulations. Experience: Open to both new and seasoned LPNs. Certifications: - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of employment. - LPN-IV Certification must be completed prior or within 3 months of hire (with a range from upon hire to within 1 year). NOTE: Depending on the specific position or unit, one or more of the following certifications may be required, or must be obtained within the designated timeframe: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) - S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules - Other certifications specific to the unit as necessary. Physical Requirements: The role involves standing or walking for the majority of the shift; significant bending and stooping are required, along with lifting and turning patients with assistance; ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.
