Equivalent educational experience and successful licensure may also be considered. It is essential to obtain and maintain a valid LPN license in the state where nursing responsibilities are carried out, adhering to all requirements set by the State Board of Nursing. Experience: Open to both new and seasoned LPNs. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or completion of the course within 30 days of employment. - LPN-IV Certification must be completed prior to hire or obtained within 3 months (with a range extending from hire to within 1 year). Note: Depending on the specific position or unit, one or more of the following certifications may be necessary, or must be acquired within the designated timeframe: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) - S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules - Additional unit-specific certifications as required. Physical Requirements: The role involves standing and walking for the majority of the shift, with considerable bending, stooping, and the ability to lift and turn patients with assistance.
