Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Fort Smith, AR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,840 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Current state RN licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Critical care experience is required. All licensed professionals providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency test before administering medication. This exam assesses knowledge of actions and side effects of commonly used medications and correct dosages along with IV problems. A passing grade of 90% is required, and the exam may be taken one additional time if needed. Failure to pass on the second attempt may result in termination of employment. Description: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. The nurse will work a night shift consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. The unit has a total of 32 beds with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1. The role involves floating to stepdown and medical-surgical units as necessary. An upbeat and driven personality is essential as the work environment is fast-paced. Proper attire includes black scrubs, and open-toed shoes are not permitted.
