information. As a full-time Orthopedic Nurse Tech, you will work
7p-7a, with 1 8-hour shift/month on a Saturday as the only weekend
requirement. This position qualifies for our discretionary
quarterly bonuses and our full benefits package! The Nurse
Technician holds a safety sensitive position and is a competent
paraprofessional which assists the registered nurses by assuming
responsibility and accountability for direct and indirect patient
care. He/she may assist with activities, personal care, comfort
measures, maintenance of a safe and clean environment, and certain
test/procedures done to a specific patient population (dependent on
area) under the direction and supervision of a RN. Supports the
nursing and medical staff in an effort to provide optimum patient
outcomes. What’s required of you? High school graduate or
equivalent. Maintains current competency as a Nurse Technician as
outlined in the department’s competency program. Basic Life Support
certification prior to start date, or class to be taken at OSH
within 60 days free of charge. Occupational Experience: Zero to six
months prior to experience as a Nurse Aide in a healthcare
environment, or completion of a Nurse Aide or EMT training program
preferred. Specialty Knowledge Skills: Cognitive, technical and
interpersonal skills required to deliver direct and indirect care
under the direction of a RN. Cooperation and strong “team” focus
required. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in
current caregiver practices, which are unit/age specific. Still
