Job Description Job Description Job Title: Endodontic Dental Assistant Location: Tulsa, OK Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM. Pay Range: $20-23/hr (DOE) Endodontic Dental Assistant Job Summary Provide chairside and clinical support to an endodontist during specialized dental procedures, including root canal therapy and related treatments. Responsible for preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, maintaining instruments, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. Candidates MUST have a current Dental Assistant (DA) permit to be considered for this position. Endodontic Dental Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the endodontist during root canal procedures and other endodontic treatments. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to procedures. Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Sterilize and maintain instruments following OSHA and infection control guidelines. Manage suction, retraction, and instrument transfer during procedures. Prepare materials such as irrigants, sealers, and temporary restorations. Monitor patient comfort and provide reassurance throughout treatment. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Assist with operatory turnover and supply inventory management. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and dental safety standards. Endodontic Dental Assistant Teamwork & Patient Care Responsibilities Provide compassionate, professional care to patients experiencing dental pain or anxiety. Collaborate closely with the endodontist and clinical team to maintain efficient workflow. Communicate effectively with front office staff regarding patient needs and scheduling. Support a calm, organized, and patient-focused clinical environment. Adapt to fast-paced procedures while maintaining attention to detail. Endodontic Dental Assistant Technical & Clinical Skills Required: Chairside assisting experience in an endodontic or specialty dental setting preferred. Knowledge of endodontic instruments, materials, and procedures. Ability to take diagnostic-quality dental X-rays. Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. High school diploma or GED required. Current Dental Assistant (DA) permit — REQUIRED. No exceptions. Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience; endodontic experience strongly preferred. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity clinical situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
