Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Tahlequah, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,930 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, 74464! Job Title: Med Surg RN Profession: Level 1 RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Oklahoma or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Ability to work with pediatric patients Description: Develop a plan of care for individual patients by interviewing patients and family members. Review the patient's health record to determine the type of health and physical care required, including discharge planning. The plan of care reflects any special cultural, religious, physical, and psychosocial needs identified. Include expected outcomes individualized to the patient or situation. Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when the physician is not immediately available. Take resuscitative measures in case of cardiac or respiratory arrest. Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, such as medications and IV therapy that alter hemodynamic status. Provide respiratory therapy and mechanical ventilation as required. Plan, provide, and appropriately document the teaching of patients and families in preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures. Consider patients' and families' learning needs, styles, barriers, and readiness to learn. Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated activities. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes, including patient status, interventions, and response to nursing interventions. Update the plan of care as necessary. Document specific healthcare requirements for patients. Prepare written assignments to individual team members, matching skills and abilities to care requirements. Plan and develop care delivery and implementation of the plan. Coordinate documentation of care provided. Assume oversight for patient care administered by licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel. Provide technical guidance, delegation, and direction to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and unlicensed personnel. Share responsibilities for sustaining adequate supplies and equipment. Ensure general upkeep of the unit and preserve a safe environment. Maintain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice. Promote professional growth for self and other staff members. Demonstrate positive role model and leadership qualities. Adhere to and promote professional, ethical, and legal standards of nursing. Maintain and promote positive personal work habits and interpersonal skills.
