Job Description:
Find your calling at Mercy! The Advanced IR Special Procedures
Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including
fluoroscopy and interventional radiology, assisting in diagnosing
and treating patients. Responsibilities include operating
specialized equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and
providing critical support during complex medical procedures. The
Advanced IR Special Procedures Technologist will also serve as a
resource, superuser, and will assist in training. This role also
requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative
communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide
optimal care. Position Details: Education: Graduate of an
accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required
clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience Certification: ARRT ( R
) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS) Licensure: State licensure may
be required depending on the specific state of practice. Preferred
Qualifications: Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and using imaging
software to acquire high-quality diagnostic images. Skilled in
effectively communicating with patients, explaining procedures,
addressing concerns, and providing emotional support. Ability to
communicate and work effectively within a healthcare team,
collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff
to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Strong attention to
detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Ability to work
effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Physical
Requirements: • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or
lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged
standing and walking during each shift. • Position requires the
ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform
