MRI Tech Location: Tulsa, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,586 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/31/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Clinical Professional Specialty: MRI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM Experience: Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience License: Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) Certifications: BLS Must-Have: MRI experience (2 years preferred) Description: Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Performs MRI examinations according to department policy and protocols. Includes preparing and positioning patients for MRI procedures of various parts of the body. Positioning includes setting up equipment and patients in relation to each other to provide the best demonstration of body parts under study. Performs Quality Control tests on department equipment, reporting any discrepancies to the proper personnel. Collects and evaluates relevant examination information from scheduling, patient, and referring physician, including screening information. Maintains departmental records and patient information according to policy. Is responsive to patient physical and psychological needs. Keeps patients informed. Explains all procedures in a clear and concise manner without causing unnecessary anxiety. Listens to and answers patient questions with patience and courtesy. Performs safety procedures for outpatients, inpatients, patient families, and hospital staff. Screens patients and personnel for any metal objects or implants that could cause harm to the patient or equipment. Ensures that no patient, visitor, or healthcare worker enters the scan room with metal objects or contraindicated implants. Evaluates results of scanning procedures for quality and completeness. Manipulates images through the use of console keyboard and mouse to display to physicians. Uses terminal to select all image display options. Recognizes problems and rectifies issues with respect to selection made of operation. Sends images to the PACS system, evaluates exams for completeness, and verifies exams in a timely manner. Develops a working knowledge of all PACS capabilities. Maintains accurate documentation on logbook worksheets and charging of examinations and all supplies. Seeks advice from the appropriate resources when unsure of protocol or policy. Exercises independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Interacts with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Engages with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
