perks. Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer Are you ready to step
into a strategic technical role where your input drives
infrastructure success? As a Systems Engineer 5, you’ll design,
implement, and maintain enterprise-grade systems infrastructure,
with a focus on IBM Power and Storage Hardware and IBMi Software.
You’ll be a key contributor in performance tuning, capacity
planning, and process documentation - all while helping shape a
resilient and future-ready IT environment. Position Summary: The
System Engineer 5 is responsible for the planning and engineering
of an organization's systems infrastructure. This includes the
implementation and design of hardware (IBM Power and Storage
Hardware) and software (IBMi Software) and monitoring the
performance of systems. This role is familiar with standard
concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and
relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. The Systems Engineer 5 works under general supervision and
requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude. Essential
Functions: Performs detailed analysis of problems, performance and
capacity for critical systems and develop appropriate corrective or
proactive actions. Acts as a front-line interface to users,
accepting trouble reports and dispatching them to appropriate
system administrators. Develop and tests changes in non-production
environments. Documents system processes and procedures. Actively
participates in both formal and informal System Engineer training
opportunities. All Other Duties as assigned. Experience
/Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 7 years of experience Independent Judgement: Develops
objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific
program or functional area of responsibility within general scope
of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and
decisions do not require direction or review by immediate
