Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leader in the retail industry with a robust
presence in more than 27 countries, is looking to harness the power
of Conversational AI to enhance our customer interactions both
online and in-store. We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer
who will spearhead the development and integration of advanced
conversational AI systems. This position requires a blend of
technical prowess and visionary leadership to push the boundaries
of AI and provide seamless, intuitive shopping experiences to
millions of customers around the globe. As a key member of our IT &
Data Management team, your work will directly influence the
conversational interfaces across our many platforms and
touchpoints. This role is crucial in ensuring that Walmart stays at
the forefront of technology and retail innovation. Develop
innovative AI solutions to drive better customer interfacing on
digital portals and in-store systems. Lead a team of software
engineers and data scientists in designing, testing, and
implementing conversational AI technologies. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems with existing
company infrastructure and data ecosystems. Stay abreast of
industry trends and advancements in AI and machine learning,
ensuring Walmart remains a leader in retail technology. Define and
set deliverables, timelines, and adherence to software development
best practices. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members,
fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Expertise in AI and machine learning technologies, especially
Natural Language Processing (NLP). Proficiency in programming
languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Strong understanding of
software development principles and agile methodologies. Experience
with cloud services and AI application at scale. Ability to lead
and inspire software development teams. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in AI
or Machine Learning technology platforms (e.g., TensorFlow,
PyTorch). Scrum or Agile certifications.
