SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The primary responsibility for the Technology & Facility Support
Specialist is to provide technical and facility support to staff
within the Global Campus and various off-campus groups.
This position will respond to technical and facility support
requests that are primarily submitted using a Help Desk ticketing
system, e-mail, and/or phone; executes equipment setup, removal,
and maintenance for staff; and is responsible for the technology
and facility related set up for the Global Campus meeting
This position supports all building assets and grounds at the
Global Campus facilities in Fayetteville; supports facility
projects and functions as a liaison on behalf of the Global Campus
with UA Facilities Management, contracting representatives, campus
police, and building occupants; supports general building
maintenance, repairs and upgrades, and office moves. Interfaces
with University custodial, maintenance, security, and grounds
keeping staff; manages all activities and processes related to
inventory management; and assumes responsibility for maintenance
and upkeep of Global Campus vehicles and all inventory assets.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential
job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial,
harmonious working relationships with others.

* The formal education equivalent of a bachelors degree in computer
science, mathematics, or a related field
* Completion of technical training in computer science, information
technology, or a related field acquired from a vocational,
military, or industrial setting
* At least two years of experience in computer support

* Experience solving intricate technical problems

* Knowledge of related safety practices
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
* Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve computer related
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION
The following physical activities are associated with the position

Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an
activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures;

occasionally based on department needs)
