Group Leader (214 Group) Job Description Job Summary & Essential Functions: Direct, instruct, and provide support for staff under the guidance of the supervisor.Perform direct labor where properly trained and charge time to meet utilization targets.Assign work within the area of responsibility based on information from various sources.Coordinate activities to ensure tasks are completed on schedule in a cost effective manner.Ensure personnel utilize equipment and material that are in compliance for calibration, maintenance and material expiration dates.Ensure personnel comply with SOX, ISO, inventory, and human resources policiesAssist in effective direction and coordination within the assigned area to ensure the output meets published workmanship standards and employees are working in accordance with documented instructions.Provide feedback to employees on quality-related issuesSupport efforts to ensure targets for efficiency and utilization are achievedParticipate in customer discussions as requiredIdentify and work to resolve problems that develop, escalating problems encountered to supervisor when necessary, and make recommendations for solutions.Support completion of reports and required paperworkHelp create a work environment that stimulates team work, innovation, and employee involvement.Recommend skills training per current training requirementsAssist in training personnel and provide guidance in following procedures, using equipment and troubleshooting difficult problems.Provide input for performance evaluations, development programs, and disciplinary action.Adhere to General Requirements of Team MembersResponsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.Perform other assignments as required Supervisory Requirements: Provide limited direction to nonexempt personnel in assigned area Skills & Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications: Intermediate level computer proficiency including e-mail, Word, and ExcelAbility to read and interpret documentationProfessional attitude and demeanorProblem-solving and prioritization skillsExhibit leadership and organizational skillsAbilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members Physical Demands (reasonable accommodations may be made, if necessary):Physical Abilities Lift /Carry Stand - Frequently 10 lbs or less - FrequentlyWalk - Frequently 11-20 lbs - Occasionally Sit - Continuously 21-50 lbs - Occasionally Climb - N/A 51-100 lbs - N/ACrawl - N/A Over 100 lbs - N/ASquat or Kneel - Occasionally Bend - Occasionally Push / PullFine Manipulation - Occasionally 10 lbs or less - Occasionally Reach Outward Occasionally 10-20 lbs - Occasionally Reach Above Shoulder - Occasionally 20-50 lbs - Occasionally Drive - N/A 50-100 lbs - N/A Over 100 lbs - N/A Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: High school diploma; associates degree in related technology preferred5 years of related experience Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:Required to wear PPE as neededModerate noise levelsExposure to light manufacturing environment Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled 403 LaBarge AvenueHuntsville, Arkansas, 72740United States
