Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, the
Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the decontamination,
assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and the
cleaning of patient care equipment. - -
- Provides excellent customer service. Actively participates in
quality and process improvement initiatives. - -
- Ensures accurate documentation of the sterilization process and
actively reports abnormalities to leadership. - -
- Participates in proper receiving and reprocessing activities
related to loaner and consignment sets. - -
- Under the direction of the department Educator, may serve as
preceptor to new staff or OR staff cross training to Sterile
Processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High School/GEDPreferred Job Requirements
- CRCST or CSPDT or CST certificate -
