SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The Research Associate will develop decision support for dairy and swine production systems, with a focus on the selection of manure management alternatives. This position may link models of animal production systems using simulation tools to the decision support tool. The Research Associate will also be responsible for project documentation and reporting, as well as the preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts.
This is a temporary position based on funding, with an initial duration of two years.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

* Ph.D. in Engineering or Agriculture/Animal Sciences
* Experience in mathematical modeling using modern language (e.g., C#, python, R, Matlab)
* Process modeling of agricultural systems

* Experience with lifecycle assessment preferably in the food/ag sector, but experience in other sectors acceptable

* Ability to perform a Lifecycle Assessment
* Ability to program using modern programming languages
* Ability to understand Mathematical Modeling
