SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The Buyer is responsible for management of the University Housing
procurement process. This position will facilitate, perform, and
monitor all purchasing activities for Housing to ensure compliance
with University policies and State laws while simultaneously
obtaining competitive pricing from approved suppliers/vendors. In
addition to direct purchasing responsibilities, the Buyer is also
responsible for the supervision of a direct report in the
procurement area and all training for new employees related to
procurement processes and software.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job
duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial,
harmonious working relationships with others.

* The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
* At least two years of experience in merchandising or a related
field, including one year in a purchasing environment

* P-Card Knowledge/Administration

* Microsoft Office tools skills
* Great Interpersonal relationship skills
* Must be able to multitasking in a fast-paced environment

for salary higher than entry, dependent upon education and
