SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The Postdoctoral Fellow will assist in conducting research on
multiferroics, ferroelectrics, and/or magnetic systems.
The research goals are: modeling, understanding and designing such
systems. Particular emphases in these systems are on (1) dynamical
effects; (2) light-matter interactions; (3) neuromorphic computing;
(4) quantum spin liquids; (5) electric topological defects; (6)
out-of-equilibrium effects; and (7) structural defects; These
objectives will be tackled through the development and/or use of
the following numerical tools: (i) First-principles techniques and
(ii) Effective Hamiltonian approaches that can extend the reach of
first-principles calculations by mimicking finite-temperature
Collaborations with experimental research groups and other
theoretical research groups is required in order to gain a deep
