SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
Manage all areas of Building Systems Division (Tech Trades) for the
Athletic Facilities Operations Department within the University of
Arkansas including oversight of employees, operations, building
systems maintenance, scheduling and necessary annual inspections of
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job
duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial,
harmonious working relationships with others.

* Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution of higher

systems/building engineering based field
* At least two years of supervisory experience
* Experience managing and forecasting systems budgets, and life
cycle cost studies

diplomatically with university staff, administrators, suppliers and

computer science, mathematics, or related field
* Supervisory experience in a building systems/building engineering
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
* Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and
* Strong organizational skills
* Detail oriented
* Ability to supervise staff and evaluate work preformed

The following physical activities are associated with the position

visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and
analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer
terminal; extensive reading; and/or visual inspection at distances
close to the eyes.
The employee is subject to both environmental conditions.
Activities occur inside and outside., The employee is subject to
extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods
of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect
of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity., The
employee is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees
for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to
the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and
humidity., The employee is subject to noise. There is sufficient
noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above
ambient noise level., The employee is subject to vibration.
Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole
body., The employee is subject to work in close quarters (i.e.
narrow aisles, crawl spaces, shafts, manholes, small enclosed
rooms, sewage and line pipes) and other areas that could cause

include various nights and weekends)
