Job Description:

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

The Law School Special Events Assistant will be responsible for the following:

* Helping to set-up and tear-down for events (this may require heavy lifting, moving tables, ice chests, some furniture)

* Responsible for cleanup following events, including removal of trash and leftover food

* Performs general office tasks for the Special Events Director, including Microsoft Office applications, typing, copying, and email and telephone communication

* Provides information and assistance to event participants and others having business with the school

* All other duties as assigned.

This position will work cooperatively and communicate effectively with staff, students, and faculty.

* At least one year of experience in catering or event planning

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

* Office and clerical skills

* Ability to read, write, use computer software, file, and answer the phone

* Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with staff, students, and faculty
