SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The Plumber is responsible for performing plumbing work within
Residential Facilities. This position requires a journeyman plumber
s license and is governed by state and federal laws and
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential
job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain
collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

* Completion of required education or training along with the
required license or certification in the following skilled trades:
Journeyman Plumber according to ACA 17-38-301
* At least five years of experience in the chosen field

Journeyman Plumber License
* Experience in mechanical plumbing
* Low-pressure boiler license
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
* Knowledge of plumbing practices
* Ability to work independently without close supervision with high
attention to detail
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds waist-high, climb stairs daily,
and operate basic hand tools
* Ability to communicate effectively with others in the
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION
The following physical activities are associated with the position

Employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the
accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e.,

vehicles and/or heavy equipment. Employee is required to have
visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines
where the seeing job is at or within arm s reach; performs
mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such
as carpenters or technicians.
The employee is subject to inside environmental conditions.
Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from

environmental conditions. No effective protection from the
weather., The employee is subject to both environmental conditions.
Activities occur inside and outside., The employee is subject to
noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in
order to be heard above ambient noise level., The employee is
subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such
as proximity to moving mechanical parts or vehicles, electrical
current, working in high places, exposure to chemicals, biological,
radiological or hazardous materials., The employee is subject to
atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions
that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust,
mists, gases, or poor ventilation., The employee is subject to work
in close quarters (i.e. narrow aisles, crawl spaces, shafts,
manholes, small enclosed rooms, sewage and line pipes) and other
areas that could cause claustrophobia.
