GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe primary purpose of this position is to respond to emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls,provide medical services to the community, and non-emergency transport for inter-facility transfers.In addition to responding to calls, the position is also required to provide assistance to the paramedicpartner on these calls.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES+ Drive emergency vehicle. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.+ Assist in patient care. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.+ Restock medical equipment. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.+ Clean and prepare medical equipment. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.+ Clean and prepare emergency vehicle. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.+ Clean facilities. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.+ Emergency scene management. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.+ Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentionedsatisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequired.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. dataprocessing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 0 to 6 months related experience ortraining.
