Your legacy of excellence begins when you join us at Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation.Hiring for day & night shifts!Certified Medication Technician (CMT) *New Grads Welcome*$3,500 Sign-on Bonus for full-time qualifying candidatesCompetitive Pay Based on ExperienceShift Differential PayPaid Time Off (PTO+) added to your balance; immediately accrue more PTO as you work!Earn PTO+ for every quarter of perfect attendance6 Observed Holidays with premium pay or leave + 1 Floating HolidayUp to $5,000 in tuition/education reimbursement per calendar yearTake home up to 75% of your net earned wages at the end of every shift401(k) Retirement plan with company-matched contributionsMedical (Teledoc Included), Dental, Vision, Life and other voluntary InsuranceFun work environment with contests and employee appreciation events each weekEssential Functions of Certified Medication Technician (CMT):Performs resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with MGM Healthcare Clinical Policies and Procedures as well as state/federal guidelines and regulationsAdministers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policyMust demonstrate knowledge of five rights of medication administrationAdministers and records all medication given to residents based upon their specific chartNotifies appropriate licensed staff when a resident complains of pain.May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medicationsRecords the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately, utilizing the computer system to enter and reference resident information as neededAnswers resident call lights, anticipates residents needs and makes rounds to assigned resident under the supervision of a licensed nurse or charge nurse on the shiftObserves for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shiftPerforms all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errorsSupport and maintains a culture of safety and qualityAdministers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policyReports and when appropriate, records any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidentsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications of Certified Medication Technician (CMT):High School diploma or general equivalency is preferredMust pass a state-issued examRequired valid certification as a CMT in the state of MissouriSix months experience in a long-term care environment is preferredCandidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situationsAbility to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staffAble to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingAdditional languages preferredBasic computer knowledgeEEO Statement:Our facility provides equal employment opportunities.
