SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
The Skilled Tradesman (HVACR Technician) is responsible for assisting and performing Skilled Trades level work trades throughout athletics primarily in the HVACR trades. This position will also assist Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Suppression systems, Mechanical and Carpentry tradesman as directed. This position is OT eligible assignments based on need (event coverage, special projects, emergency, season preparations, etc.). This position will also participate in an On Call schedule assignment throughout the year (first responder after hours and on weekends).
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

* Completion of required education or training along with the required license or certification in the following skilled trades: Journeyman Electrician according to ACA 17-28-304, Journeyman Plumber according to ACA 17-38-301, and HVAC Mechanics according to ACA 17-33-301
* Occupying the position of a carpenter or painter requires the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
* At least five years of experience in the chosen field

Employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, general laborer, lab personnel, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard. Employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. Employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines where the seeing job is at or within arm s reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenters or technicians. Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; and/or visual inspection at distances close to the eyes.
The employee is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside., The employee is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity., The employee is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity., The employee is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level., The employee is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body., The employee is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts or vehicles, electrical current, working in high places, exposure to chemicals, biological, radiological or hazardous materials.
7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and various nights/weekends as needed
