Job Description:
EcoSouth Services LLC, a leading provider of waste management
and environmental services based in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a
dedicated Safety Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for
ensuring all operations adhere to safety regulations and company
policies, aiming to minimize the risk of injury and enhance the
overall safety of our work environment. The successful candidate
will be responsible for developing and enforcing robust safety
programs, conducting safety audits, and promoting a culture of
safety across all levels of our organization. Develop, implement,
and monitor company-wide safety programs and initiatives. Conduct
regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Lead
training sessions and drills to educate staff on necessary safety
protocols and emergency response strategies. Investigate accidents
or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation
claims. Update and maintain safety policies and make
recommendations for improvements. Collaborate with management and
maintenance staff to implement safety protocols efficiently.
Regularly communicate with regulatory bodies and ensure all
necessary environmental and safety permits are updated and
maintained. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant
safety and health regulations. Proficient in using safety audit
tools and software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to train and
motivate team members with diverse roles. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Safety
Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
preferred. First Aid and CPR certifications.
